This is a collection of transcripts of public statements of William McChesney Martin. Martin served as Governor (now President) of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis from January 16, 1929 until February 28, 1941. Prior to this, Martin served as the first Chairman of the Board of Directors and Federal Reserve Agent for the Bank, from 1914-1929.
