Statements and Speeches of Eugene R. Black
This is a collection of transcripts of public statements of Eugene R. Black. Black served his first term as governor of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta from January 13, 1928, to May 18, 1933. He was appointed chairman (called "governor" before 1935) of the Federal Reserve Board on May 19, 1933, and he resigned on August 15, 1934. He then returned to his post as governor of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, where he served until his death later that year on December 19, 1934.
