OCD News Letter
"The purposes of the Office of Civilian Defense News Letter are to call widespread attention to Office of Civilian Defense plans and programs, after they have been transmitted officially, to report successful experiences of States and localities in the development of Civilian Defense activities, and to encourage States and localities in the development of programs adequate to meet every civilian defense need. The News Letter will be issued whenever there is a story of importance to tell. No attempt will be made to publish it regularly." (From issue Number 1, 1941)
