As Comptroller of the Currency, Daniel Crissinger served as an ex-officio member of the Federal Reserve Board from March 17, 1921, to April 30, 1923. Crissinger served as Governor of the Federal Reserve Board from May 1, 1923, until he resigned on September 15, 1927. The title governor was changed to chairman upon approval of the Banking Act of 1935 on August 23, 1935.
