Emi Nakamura is Chancellor's Professor of Economics at University of California, Berkeley, a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a Co-Editor of the American Economic Review. She was awarded the John Bates Clark Medal and elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2019. She has been awarded an NSF Career Grant and Sloan Research Fellowship, was the 2014 recipient of the Elaine Bennett Research Prize, and was named one of the top 25 economists under 45 in 2014 by the IMF.
