m in im u m w a g e w a s r a is e d to $ 1 . 63 .
U nion n eg otia tors had sou gh t a 6.5 p e r c e n t
w a g e b o o s t and a h ig h e r m i n i m u m
than the $ 1 .6 0 F e d e r a l ra te e ffe c t iv e
in F e b r u a r y 1968.
