amount which may be used in payment of each class of tax
(Income, estate, or gift) by each taxpayer during each
taxable year Is limited to $3,000 par value.

Series B notes were sold from
August 1, 19U1 through September 12, 19U2.
The yield on
these notes is eq>proxlmately .U8 percent per annum, and
the amount which may be turned In on taxes Is unllmltsd.
If not presented in payment of taxss. the notes will be

redeemed at the purchase price only. Series

Interest on
thess notes accrues each month on a graduated eoale, and Is
equivalent to a yield of approximately 1.07 percent per annum

The adjustment covers two large transactions in foreign
securities Involving net transfers from domestic to foreign
