A number of changes became effective for Series The rate of May 1, 1952. The principal ones were: Interest accrual on Series E was Increased, especially for the near term, with corresponding changes In extended were replaced by two new Series E; and Series F and Issues, Series J and K, also at higher Interest rates. The Treasury Invited holders of Series F and which began to mature In January 1954 to reinvest the proceeds In other series of savings bonds. In the tables which follow, Series A-F and J sales are Included at Issue price and total redemptions and amounts outstanding at current redemption values. Series G, and E are Included at face value throughout. Matured H, bonds which have been redeemed are Included In redemptions. Matured F and bonds outstanding are Included In the Interest-bearing debt until all bonds of the annual series have matured, when they are transferred to matured debt upon which Interest has ceased.
