years of operation s .
The re 11ort covers wo r k completed from start of the program in
July , 1935 , through June 30 , 1938 .

for each of the 3, 000 counties in the United Stat es .
New school "buildings and libraries and additi ons to existing
education al facilitie s alone were of a suffici ent numb er to place one in each
of the country I s 3, 000 com1ties .

The education al buildings repaired or im-

proved would provide nearly all of the 25 , 000 school districts with one improved
education al facilit y each.

parks , 4 , 200 improved or enlarged ; 1 , 600 new playgrou11 ds ,
