Hopkins announces regional director for Women's Division of WPA. Harry L. Hopkins, Works Progress AQ~inistrator, today announced the apl)ointment of Mrs. Lula Martin Mciver Scott of Greensboro, North Carolina, as regional director of wom·e n1s activities in the New England States. Mrs. Scott is attached to the Women's Division of which Mrs. Ellens. Woodward, Assistant Administrator, is the head, and is one of five women regional directors who will serve under Mrs. Woodward throughout the country. She is assigned to the staff of R. C. Eranion, field representa,-. tive of the Works Progress Administration in Region #1, which includes Maine, Vermont, New Har.ipshire, Massachusetts, New York, District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Mrs. Scott has been a field representative in the Women's Division of the Federal Emergency Relief AQ~inistration since September 1933.
