Hopki ns , Works Progress Administra tor • .A listing by type s and cost of projects shows that of the total of $114,400 ,252 to be spent a s of December 31, 1935 the following cl ass ifications will receive th o bulk: Highways, f a rm-to-ma rket roads and streets, $64,419,339, or 56.3 per cent; public buildinr,s, both educ a tion a l and t;Ov ernmen t al, $7,255,204, or 6.3 per cent; parks and -playg ro1.mds $8,970 ,653 or 7.9 per cent; flood control and other conservation , $5,728,963 or 7.9 per cent; water supply and sewer systems, $9,580,306 or 8.3 per cent; and, transporta tion, $1,577,600 or 1.4 per cent; The b ala.'1ce of the money will be spent to provide work for women, white-collar, and other professional and technical unemployed v;orkers.
