Approximately 75 percent of New Hampshire's WPA project cost to be spent for construction and repair work. Approximately 75 percent of the Works Progress Administration ( , project cost will be spent for highway~, roads and streets; public buildings, both educational and governmental; parks and playgrounds; flood control and other conservation and water supply and sewer systems, according to an announcement made today by Harry L. Hopk ins, Works Pro gress Ad.~ inistrator. A listing by tYJ)eS and cost of projects shows that of the total of $2,845,797 to be spent, as of December 31, 1935, the follo ·.ving accounted for the bulk of the money: Highways, farm-to-market roads and streets, $749,479, or 26.3 percent; public buildings of all types, $196,442, or 6.9 percent; parks and playgrounds, 17.4 percent; flood control and other conservation, $51,545, or 1.8 perce~t; and, water supply and sewer systems, $635,343, or 22.3 percent. The balance of the money will be spent to provide work for women, white-collar, and other professional and technical unemployed workers. :Note: A detailed table is attached.
