WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of the Treasury today released the following statement from Secretary Tim Geithner:
"The entire Treasury Department community today mourns the loss of our colleague and friend Ken Carfine, the Department's Fiscal
Assistant Secretary. Ken joined the Treasury Department in 1973 and for nearly four decades he dedicated his career to serving the
American people. Ken's abiding commitment to public service is an inspiration to his colleagues at Treasury, where he will always be
remembered with fondness and great respect.
"Our prayers and condolences go out to Ken's wife Debbie and his sons Ken and Greg during this difficult time."
