Yellen’s Meeting with Finance Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko February 27, 2023 KYIV – Today, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen met with Finance Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko. Secretary Yellen commended Minister Marchenkoʼs work to stabilize Ukraineʼs economy and maintain focus on economic reforms amid Russiaʼs unprovoked and brutal war. The Secretary rea irmed U.S. support for Ukraine remains resolute and welcomed the Government of Ukraineʼs actions to safeguard U.S. economic assistance. Secretary Yellen also expressed support for the establishment of the Multi-agency Donor Coordination Platform for Ukraine to help Ukraine, together with its international partners, address nearterm recovery and future reconstruction needs.
