Secretary Yellen congratulated Minister Al Kuwari on the 50th anniversary of U.S.-Qatar diplomatic relations and reiterated the importance of the U.S.-Qatar bilateral relationship, highlighting President Bidenʼs recent designation of Qatar as a major non-NATO ally. Secretary Yellen also welcomed the continued partnership between the two countries in combatting terrorist financing in the region.
