Yellen’s Roundtable on IMF Policy Priorities October 11, 2023 MARRAKECH – Today, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen held a roundtable discussion with finance ministers and senior o icials from Angola, Brazil, Côte dʼIvoire, Fiji, Ghana, India, Jamaica, Jordan, Kenya, and Morocco on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the IMF and World Bank in Marrakech. Ministers noted the important role of the IMF in providing sound macroeconomic support, policy advice, and technical assistance. They also held a robust discussion, moderated by Under Secretary for International A airs Jay Shambaugh, on the IMFʼs mandate and policy priorities going forward. Secretary Yellen underscored the U.S. commitment to the IMF and to pursuing policies to help it fulfill its critical mission.
