Yellen met with Franceʼs Minister of Finance Bruno Le Maire on the sidelines of the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting in São Paulo, Brazil. During their meeting, Secretary Yellen o ered views on shared priorities, including our e orts to support Ukraine in its defense against Putinʼs brutal invasion and deprive Russia of its ability to wage war. Secretary Yellen congratulated France and the rest of the EU for the passage of the EUʼs four-year €50 billion Ukraine Facility. Secretary Yellen and Minister Le Maire had a constructive and detailed discussion about their shared priority of securing long-term financial support for Ukraine.
