Yellen met with European Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni. They discussed several topics of mutual interest, such as our e orts to deprive Russia of its ability to wage war and support for Ukraine in its defense against Putinʼs brutal invasion. Secretary Yellen congratulated the European Union for the passage of the Ukraine Facility, which will provide €50 billion in economic support to Ukraine over the next four years and help Ukraine enact the reforms necessary to advance in its EU accession e orts.
