During his visit, the Deputy Secretary met with senior government o icials, including Minister of Energy, H.R.H. Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, Minister of Finance, H.E. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Assistant Chief of State Security, H.E. Abdullah bin Abdulkarim bin Abdulaziz Al Issa, and Governor of the Public Investment Fund, H.E. Yasir bin Othman Al-Rumayyan. During the meetings, the participants discussed the importance of the bilateral Saudi-U.S. relationship and the critical steps we are taking to advance the recovery from COVID-19 in our countries and globally, including strengthening the economic recovery. The Deputy Secretary and his Saudi counterparts also discussed our deep partnership in combatting money laundering and the financing of terrorism and proliferation.
