Lew met today with Eurogroup President and Finance Minister of the Netherlands Jeroen Dijsselbloem on the sidelines of the G-20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting. Secretary Lew discussed several issues facing the G-20, including the outlook for the global economy and the continued importance of using all levers of economic policy to address demand shortfalls, create jobs, and raise incomes. Secretary Lew recognized the important progress that Ukraine has made in advancing economic reform, with the support of the United States, Europe, and its international partners. Secretary Lew commended Minister Dijsselbloem for the role he played in reaching agreement on the new financial program for Greece.
