Minutes of actions taken by the Board of Governors of the
Federal Reserve System on October 5, 1951, were approved unanimously.
Minutes of actions taken by the Board of Governors of the
Federal Reserve System on October 8, 9, and 10, 1951, were approved
and the
actions recorded therein were ratified unanimously.
Memorandum dated October 9, 1951, from Mr. Bethea, Director,
Division of Administrative Services, recommending that the resignation
of Mrs. Alice King Watt, Assistant Supervisor, Stenographic Section of
that Division, be accepted to be effective, in accordance with her request, at the close of business November 21 1951.
Approved unanimously.
Memorandum dated October 4, 1951, from Mr. Townsend, Solicitor,
stating that Crow Lumber Company, Vermilion, Ohio, a Registrant under
Regulation WI Consumer Credit, had refused to permit investigation of
its books and records by the staff of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, and recommending that the Board file suit in the appropriate United
States

District Court asking for a court order requiring the company to
