"We understand that the invitation to central banks
has been extended to broaden the participation in, and
the base of financial support for, the program of technical work sponsored by the Institute. I also understand
that if there is sufficient response from the various
Inter American central banks, the Institute expects to
set up a permanent financial committee (made up largely
of representatives of the central banks) to help develop
and guide a program in financial statistics which would
reflect the viewpoints and needs of the central banks.
It is understood, however, that this program will not conflict with the work of the Organization of Central Bank
Technicians, but that the programs of the two organizations
would be complementary.
"It is understood that the membership dues for all
central banks are $200 and that memberships registered
.
cluring the first six months of 1949 will become effective
11'flmediately but that dues received during this period
will be applied to the fiscal year July 1, 1949-June 30,
1950. It is also understood that as an affiliated member
we are entitled to representation in the I.A.S.I. and I
therefore
designate Mr. David Grove of the Division of
Research and Statistics as the Board's representative."

Approved unanimously.
