Board approves appointment of E. C. Harris as first vice president of Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago for balance of lterm ending February 28, 1951, with salary at rate stated 111 your letter, which should be regarded as maximum for 94 1/2)/5o -2- Position. Board also approves reimbursement to Harris Of necessary moving expenses from Detroit to Chicago. Reimbursement of legitimate business expenses incurred in connection with his official duties as first vice President does not require specific Board approval.
