Upon call of the Governor, a special meeting of the Federal Reserve
Board was held in the office of the Governor at 3:45 p.m. k'riday, December
5, 1924.

eollowing a verbal report by Y2.-. Buchanan of certain statements made
to hit by an Atlanta banker, relative to the recent election of

and "B” directors of the Atlanta ban::, and concerning also the alleged
ilnethical practices indulged in by one of the directors of the bank in the
tatter of obtaining bank credit, the following motion was adopted by the
Board:
w:Jhereas statements have from time to time come to
the Board reflecting upon conditions at the i!'edercl
iteserve Bank of Atlanta, the 3oard directs its
Oomrittee on District No. 6 to investigate conditions
at the Atlanta Bank, incurring any necessary expenses
for that purpose, in order to ascertain whether or
not there is any foundation for the statements, and
to recommend to the Board what, if any, act n is
necessary in the premises".
