A meeting of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve

The action stated with respect to each of the matters hereinafter

referred to was taken by the Board:
The minutes of the two meetings of the Board of Governors of

the
Federal Reserve System held on August 25, 1939, were approved

Letter to Mr. Leach, President of the Federal Reserve Bank
lichmond, reading as follows:
"In accordance with the request contained in your
'
letter of August 23, the Board approves the designation
(4 Rutherford N. Yeates as an assistant examiner
in
Order that he may lend clerical assistance to your regular examiners. It is understood, of course, that he
will not be transferred permanently to examination work
Without the Board's approval."
Approved unanimously.
Letter to Mr. Stewart, Secretary of the Federal Reserve Bank
"St. L

"Referring to your letter of August 21, 1939, you
re advised that the Board does not contemplate making

any changes this year in the group classification of member banks for election of Class A and B Directors in your
District."
Approved unanimously.
Telegram to Mr. Martin, President of the Federal Reserve Bank
clt St. Louis,
reading as follows:
"In accordance with your recommendation, Board extends until September 22, 1939, time within which 'Anna
State Bank', Anna, Illinois, may accomplish membership
in the System."
Approved unanimously.

Thereupon the meeting adjourned.
