A meeting of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Systern was
held in Washington on Monday, April 20, 1936, at 11:30 a. in.

The minutes of the meetings of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve
System held on March 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25,
26, 271
28, 31, and April 1, 2, 3 (2 meetings), and 4, were approved
un
animously.
The minutes of the meetings of the Board of Governors of the Federal

Reserve System held on April 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, and 14, 1936, were

aPPraved unanimously and the actions recorded therein were ratified unaniIllously.
The minutes of the meetings of the Board of Governors of the Federal
Reserve System with the Presidents of the Federal reserve banks held
March 16 and 17, 1936, were approved unanimously.
Consideration was then given to each of the matters hereinafter
referred
to and the action stated with respect thereto was taken by the

Telegram to Mr. Powell, Secretary of the Federal Reserve Bank
Of Minneapolis, stating that the Board approves the establishment without chang e by the bank today
of the rates of discount and purchase in its
e3tisting schedule.




Approved unanimously.

Letter to Mr. Thomas, Federal Reserve Agent at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, reading as follows:
"This refers to your letter of April 10, 1956, tran
mating a certified copy of a resolution adopted by the
board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas
City on April 9, 1936 amending certain sections of the revised by-laws of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City
for the operation of its branches at Omaha, Nebraska,
Denver, Colorado, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, copies of
which were transmitted to the Board with your letter of
February 27, 1956.
"The Board of Governors approves the revised by-laws
of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City for the operation of its branches named above, as amended by the
resolution of the board of directors on April 9, 1936. It
Will be appreciated if you will forward to the Board four
copies of each of the by-laws as finally revised."




Approved unanimously.

Thereupon the meeting adjourned.
