May and April and are not intended to be estimates for all commercial
banks. In May, reports covered about U9,000 contracts on new cars,
3b,000 purchased and 1$,000 direct and 3*1,000 contracts on used cars, 23*000
purchased and 11,000 direct. Data are not comparable with previous releases
since composition of the group of banks changes from month to month.
