Consolidation and Establishment of Branches

Union Trust Company, Providence, Rhode I s l a n d , a
S t a t e member, and The Providence National Bank,
Providence, Rhode I s l a n d , have consolidated under
the c h a r t e r of The Providence National Bank and new
t i t l e The Providence Union National Bank and Trust
Company. In connection with the consolidation the
main o f f i c e of the consolidated bank w i l l be located
in the p r e s e n t q u a r t e r s of the Union Trust Company.
One new branch a t the present l o c a t i o n of The
Providence National Bank as well as the f i v e branches
formerly operated by Union Trust Company and the
three formerly operated by The Providence National
Bank w i l l be operated by The Providence Union
National Bank and Trust Company.

S p r i n g f i e l d Safe Deposit and Trust Company,
S p r i n g f i e l d , Massachusetts, a S t a t e member,

has absorbed The Monson National Bank, Monson,
Massachusetts. In connection with the absorption
a branch was e s t a b l i s h e d a t Monson, t o be known
as Monson Branch.
