STATEMENT FOR THE PRESS B-804 F e d e r a l Reserve Board September 11, 1933• For immediate r e l e a s e CONDITION OF WEEKLY REPORTING MEMBER BAMS III 90 LEADING CITIES The F e d e r a l Reserve B o a r d ' s c o n d i t i o n statement of weekly r e p o r t i n g member hanks i n 90 l e a d i n g c i t i e s on September 6 shows d e c r e a s e s f o r the week of $1+7,000,000 i n n e t demand d e p o s i t s , $13,000,000 i n time d e p o s i t s and $48,000,000 i n h o l d i n g s of United S t a t e s Government s e c u r i t i e s . Loans on s e c u r i t i e s d e c l i n e d $15,000,000 a t r e p o r t i n g member banks i n t h e Chicago d i s t r i c t and $18,000,000 a t a l l r e p o r t i n g member b a n k s . "All o t h e r " loans i n c r e a s e d $19,000,GOO i n the Hew York d i s t r i c t , $6,000,000 i n the Boston d i s t r i c t and $23,000,000 a t a l l r e p o r t i n g b a n k s . Holdings of U n i t e d S t a t e s Government s e c u r i t i e s d e c l i n e d $36,000,000 i n the Hew York d i s t r i c t , $13,000,000 i n the Chicago d i s t r i c t and $48,000,000 a t a l l r e p o r t i n g member b a n k s .
