CONDITION OF S t . 4705 F e d e r a l Reserve Board, October 29, 1925* BAMS IN LEADING CITIES The F e d e r a l Reserve Board 1 s weekly s t a t e m e n t of c o n d i t i o n of 723 r e p o r t i n g member banks i n l e a d i n g c i t i e s as of October 21 shows an i n c r e a s e of $14,000,000 in l o a n s and d i s c o u n t s and a d e c r e a s e of $3*000,000 in i n v e s t m e n t s . These changes were accompanied by an i n c r e a s e of $4-2,000,000 i n time d e p o s i t s and by d e c l i n e s of $ 9 1 , 0 0 0 , 0 0 0 in n e t demand d e p o s i t s , of $86,000,000 i n Government d e p o s i t s and of $46,000,000 in borrowings from t h e F e d e r a l r e s e r v e banks. Member banks i n New York C i t y r e p o r t e d an i n c r e a s e of $14,000,000 i n l o a n s and d i s c o u n t s and of $6,000,000 i n n e t demand d e p o s i t s , t o g e t h e r with d e c r e a s e s of $ 1 2 , 0 0 0 , 0 0 0 i n i n v e s t m e n t s , $20,000,000 i n Government d e p o s i t s and $61,000,000 i n borrowings from t h e F e d e r a l r e s e r v e bank.
