Commercial, i n d u s t r i a l , and agricultural loans increased $3l*,000,000 in New York City and $13,000,000 in the Atlanta D i s t r i c t , and decreased $15,000,000 in the Chicago D i s t r i c t , Loans t o brokers and dealers for purchasing or carrying United States Government s e c u r i t i e s decreased $98,000,000 in New York City and and $113,000,000 at a l l reporting "member banks. Holdings of Treasury c e r t i f i c a t e s of indebtedness decreased $1+0,000,000 in the Chicago D i s t r i c t and $32,000,000 at a l l reporting member banks, and increased $18,000,000 in the Philadelphia D i s t r i c t . Holdings of Treasury notes decreased $50,000,000 in New York City and $32,000,000 at a l l reporting member banks, and increased $15,000,000 in the San Francisco D i s t r i c t .
