Loans t o brokers and d e a l e r s f o r purchasing or c a r r y i n g United S t a t e s Government and other s e c u r i t i e s increased $71,000,000, l a r g e l y i n New York C i t y . Real e s t a t e loans and "other loans" increased $23,000,000 and $20,000,000, r e s p e c t i v e l y . Holdings of Treasury b i l l s decreased $116,000,000 i n New York C i t y and $51,000,000 i n t h e C i t y of Chicago, and increased $35,000,000 i n the San Francisco D i s t r i c t and $33,000,000 i n the Chicago D i s t r i c t outside t h e 6 i t y of Chicago.
