CONDITION OF WEEKLY REPORTING MEMBER BANKS IN LEADING CITIES
The condition statement of weekly reporting member banks i n leading c i t i e s

demand deposits adjusted, and $271 million in borrowings, and a decrease of $672
million in United States Government deposits*

Demand deposits adjusted increased in a l l d i s t r i c t s ? the principal increases
were $305 million i n New York City, $178 million in the Chicago D i s t r i c t , $165 mill i o n in the San Francisco D i s t r i c t , $60 million in the Philadelphia D ^ t r i c t , and
$Ul million in the Richmond D i s t r i c t . Time deposits increased $28 m i l l i o n . Demand
deposits credited t o domestic banks decreased $13# m i l l i o n .
Borrowings increased $136 million i n New York City and $91 million in Chicago*
