industrial loans, but includes an unknown amount of credit extended to other than nonfinancial businesses.

NOTE: Weekly reporting domestic banks acquired $800 million in assets and liabilities of thrift institutions in the week ending February 22,1995. The major asset items affected
were U.S. government securities investment account maturing in over 1 to 5 years, $100 million, real estate loans, all other, $300 million, loans to individuals, $100 million, and
other assets. $100 million. The major liability items affected were nontransaction deposits-1 PC, $1300 million, other transaction deposits. $100 million, and the residual, -$700
million. The major memoranda item affected was time deposits in amounts of $100,000 or more, $100 million. The same group of banks acquired $100 million in assets and
liabilities of thrift institutions in the week ending March 1,1995. The major asset item affected was cash and due from depository institutions, $100 million. The major liability
item affected was nontransaction deposits-IPC, $100 million.
