Condition of Weekly Reporting Member Banks in Leading C i t i e s
The condition statement of weekly reporting member banks in 101 leading
c i t i e s shows the f o l l o w i n g principal changes for the week ended June 2ij.: Decreases
of $1+1,000,000 in commercial, i n d u s t r i a l , and agricultural loans, $171,000,000 in^
reserve balances with Federal Reserve Banks, $11+2,000,000 in balances with domestic
banks, $110,000,000 in demand deposits-adjusted, and $217,000,000 in deposits
credited to domestic banks.
Commercial, i n d u s t r i a l , and a g r i c u l t u r a l loans declined $11,000,000 in &ew
York City and $1+1,000,000 a t a l l reporting member banks.
Holdings of Treasury b i l l s declined $53,000,000 in the Kew York D i s t r i c t
outside of New York City and $6,000,000 at *11 reporting member banks, and increased $$1,000,000 in the Chicago D i s t r i c t .
Demand d e p o s i t s - a d j u s t e d declined $65,000,000 in New York City, $35,000,000
in the Cleveland D i s t r i c t , $21^,000,000 in the San Francisco D i s t r i c t , and
$110,000,000 at a l l reporting member banks. United States Government d e p o s i t s
increased $1+1+, 000,000.
Deposits credited t o domestic banks declined $57,0JO,000 in New York City,
$5^,000,000 in the Chicago D i s t r i c t , $27,000,000 in the Cleveland D i s t r i c t , and
$217,000,000 a t a l l reporting member banks.
