CONDITIO*! OF WEEKLY BEPCRTIMG- MEMBER BANKS III 90 LEADING CITIES
The Federal Reserve Board's condition statement of weekly reporting member
"banks i n 90 leading c i t i e s on June J shows increases f o r the week of $59,000,000
in loans and investments, §65,000,000 in net demand deposits and $12,000,000 in
reserve "balances with Federal reserve "banks, and decreases of $7,000,000 in time
deposits, $37,000,000 in Government deposits and $16,000,000 i n "borrowings from
Federal reserve "banks.
Loans on s e c u r i t i e s increased $42,000,000 at reporting member banks in the New
York d i s t r i c t and $29,000,000 a t a l l reporting banks. "All other" loans declined
$12,000,000 in the New York d i s t r i c t and $3,000,000 a t a l l reporting "banks, and i n creased $7,000,000 i n the Boston d i s t r i c t and $5,000,000 in the Chicago d i s t r i c t .
Holdings of United States Government s e c u r i t i e s increased $38,000,000 in the
St. Louis d i s t r i c t , $15,000,000 in the New York d i s t r i c t and $65,000,000 at a l l r e porting member banks. Holdings of other s e c u r i t i e s declined $17,000,000 in the
St* Louis d i s t r i c t , $10,000,000 in the New York d i s t r i c t and $32,000,000 a t a l l r e porting banks.
Borrowings of weekly reporting member banks from Federal reserve banks aggregated $60,000,000 on June 7» the p r i n c i p a l change of the week being a decrease of
$6,000,000 a t the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Licensed member banks formerly included in the condition statement of member
banks in 101 leading c i t i e s , but not now included in the weekly statement, had
t o t a l loans and investments of $726,000,000 and net demand, time and Government
deposits of $678,000,000 on June 7, compared with $721,000,000 and $677,000,000,
respectively, on May 31.

banks, in 90 leading c i t i e s , that are included i n the statement, together with
changes f o r the week and the year ended June J , 1933, follows:
