CONDITION OF MEMBER BANKS IN LEADING CITIES The Federal Reserve Board's condition statement of 637 r e p o r t i n g member t a n k s i n leading c i t i e s as of July 11 shows decreases f o r the week of $251,000,000 i n loans and discounts, of $34,000,000 i n investments, of $236,000,000 i n net demand d e p o s i t s , of $18,000,000 i n time d e p o s i t s , of $40,000,000 i n Government d e p o s i t s , and of $90,000,000 i n 'borrowings from Federal reserve "banks. Loans on stocks and "bonds, including U. S. Government o b l i g a t i o n s , were $149,000,000 "below the J u l y 3 t o t a l at a l l r e p o r t i n g "banks, decreases of $125,000,000 "being shown f o r the New Yorlc d i s t r i c t , of $17,000,000 f o r the Chicago d i s t r i c t , of $12,000,000 f o r the Cleveland d i s t r i c t , and of $11,000,000 f o r the Boston d i s t r i c t , and i n c r e a s e s of $11,000,000 and $7,000,000, r e s p e c t i v e l y , f o r the Kansas City and A t l a n t a d i s t r i c t s . "All other" loans and discounts declined $103,000,000 at a l l r e p o r t i n g banks, the same amount i n the New York d i s t r i c t , and $6,000,000 each i n the Chicago and Kansas City d i s t r i c t s , and increased$l0,000,000 i n the Cleveland d i s t r i c t .
