Commercial, i n d u s t r i a l , and a g r i c u l t u r a l loans declined $6,000,000 i n New York City, $4,000,000 i n t h e S t . Louis d i s t r i c t , and $14,000,000 a t a l l r e p o r t i n g member banks. Loans t o b r o k e r s and d e a l e r s i n s e c u r i t i e s declined $14,000,000 and other loans f o r purchasing and carrying s e c u r i t i e s $11,000,000, Holdings of United S t a t e s Treasury b i l l s declined $20,000,000 i n New York City and $24,000,000 at a l l r e p o r t i n g member banks. Holdings of Treasury notes i n creased $12,000,000 i n New" York C i t y , and declined $15,000,000 i n t h e Chicago d i s t r i c t and $4,000,000 at a l l r e p o r t i n g banks. Holdings of United S t a t e s Government bonds i n c r e a s e d $14,000,000 i n t h e Chicago d i s t r i c t and $11,000,000 at a l l r e p o r t ing member banks.
