Condition of Weekly Reporting Member Banks i n 101 Leading C i t i e s The condition statement of weekly r e p o r t i n g member banks i n 101 leading c i t i e s shows the following p r i n c i p a l changes f o r the week ended November 29: A decrease of $7,000,000 i n commercial, i n d u s t r i a l and a g r i c u l t u r a l l o a n s , and i n creases of $40,000,000 i n loans t o brokers and dealers i n s e c u r i t i e s and $54,000,000 i n demand d e p o s i t s - a d j u s t e d . Commercial, i n d u s t r i a l and a g r i c u l t u r a l loans declined $6,000,000 i n New York City and $7,000,000 at a l l r e p o r t i n g member banks. Loans t o brokers and dealers i n s e c u r i t i e s increased $25,000,000 i n New York City and $40,000,000 a t a l l r e p o r t ing member banks. Holdings of United S t a t e s Treasury b i l l s declined $31,000,000 i n t h e Chicago d i s t r i c t and $20,000,000 at a l l r e p o r t i n g member banks, and increased $10,000,000 i n New York City. Holdings of United S t a t e s Government bonds increased $14,000,000 i n New York City and $13,000,000 at a l l r e p o r t i n g member banks. Holdings of o b l i gations guaranteed by the United S t a t e s Government increased $7,000,000. Holdings of "Other s e c u r i t i e s " increased $18,000,000 i n New York City and $34,000,000 at a l l r e p o r t i n g member banks. Demand d e p o s i t s - a d j u s t e d increased $16,000,000 each i n the Atlanta and Chicago d i s t r i c t s , $14,000,000 i n the Philadelphia d i s t r i c t and $54,000,000 at a l l r e p o r t i n g member banks. Time d e p o s i t s declined $14,000,000 i n New York City and $20,000,000 at a l l r e p o r t i n g member banks. Deposits c r e d i t e d t o domestic banks increased $15,000,000 i n New York City, and declined $14,000,000 i n the Boston d i s t r i c t , $11,000,000 i n t h e Kansas City d i s t r i c t and $36,000,000 at a l l r e p o r t i n g member banks.
