LEADING- CITIES The Federal Heserve Board's condition statement of weekly reporting member banks i n l e a d i n g c i t i e s on November 26 shows decreases f o r the week of $113,000,000 i n loans and investments and of 392,000,000 i n net demand deposits, an increase of $22,000,000 in borrowings from Federal reserve banks, and p r a c t i c a l l y no change i n time and Government d e p o s i t s . Loans on s e c u r i t i e s declined $49,000,000 a t reporting banks i n the Chicago d i s t r i c t , $14,000,000 i n the New York d i s t r i c t , $10,000,000 i n the S t . Louis d i s t r i c t and $77,000,000 a t a l l reporting banks. "All other" loans declined $69.,000,000 i n the Hew York d i s t r i c t , $9,000,000 i n the Chicago d i s t r i c t , $6,000,000 in the Boston d i s t r i c t and $36,000,000 at a l l reporting banks* Holdings of U. S. Government s e c u r i t i e s declined $11,000,000 i n the Cleveland d i s t r i c t and $12,000,000 at a l l reporting banks, while holdings of other s e c u r i t i e s increased $35,000,000 i n the New York d i s t r i c t , $13,000,000 i n the Chicago d i s t r i c t , $5,000,000 in the S t . Borrowings of weekly reporting member banks from Federal reserve banks aggregated $84,000,000 on November 26, the principal changes f o r the week being increases of $6,000,000 at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and $5,000,000 at Cleveland.
