The c o n d i t i o n s t a t e m e n t of weekly r e p o r t i n g member banks i n 101 l e a d i n g c i t i e s
shows the f o l l o w i n g p r i n c i p a l changes f o r the week ended August 211 An i n c r e a s e of
$121,000,000 i n commercial, i n d u s t r i a l , and a g r i c u l t u r a l l o a n s , a d e c r e a s e of
$105,000,000 i n loans f o r p u r c h a s i n g or c a r r y i n g s e c u r i t i e s , an i n c r e a s e of
$92,000,000 i n demand d e p o s i t s a d j u s t e d , and a d ecreas e of $223,000,000 i n d e p o s i t s
c r e d i t e d t o domestic b a n k s .
Commercial, i n d u s t r i a l , and a g r i c u l t u r a l loans i n c r e a s e d i n n e a r l y a l l d i s t r i c t s , the p r i n c i p a l i n c r e a s e s b e i n g $52,000,000 i n New York C i t y , $ 1 7 , 0 0 0 , 0 0 0 i n
