nonconsolidated nonbank subsidiaries of the holding company.
16. Credit extended by foreign branches of domestically chartered weekly reporting banks to nonbank U.S. residents. Consists mainly of commercial
and industrial loans, but includes an unknown amount of credit extended to other than nonfinancial businesses.
17. For domestically chartered banks data are for the Wednesday preceding the date indicated.
18. Trading account securities and other trading account assets are not available on a district basis. They are included in other assets.
NOTE: A reclassification at domestically chartered banks increased real estate loans, all other $100 million and reduced loans to
individuals the same amount the week ending April 17,1991. At agencies and branches of foreign banks, a reclassification increased
other securities $100 million and reduced real estate loans the same amount the week ending April 17,1991. An additional
reclassification reduced commercial and industrial loans to U.S. addressees $400 million and increased commercial and industrial loans
to non-U.S. addressees the same amount. A reclassification at domestically chartered banks the week ending March 27,1991
increased real estate loans, all other and loans to individuals each $100 million and reduced loans for purchasing or carrying securities
$100 million. Other securities investment account other bonds, stocks, and securities also were increased $200 million. As of
December 2 6 , 1 9 9 0 , total loans and leases and real estate loans, all other were each increased $300 million due to a
reclassification.
