CONDITION OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANKS
Member Bank Reserves and Related Items
During the week ended October 15, Member bank reserves increased
$374 million. The principal changes supplying reserves were decreases of
$ 3 % million in Treasury deposits with Federal Reserve Banks, $70 million
in Other deposits with Federal Reserve Banks, and $48 million in Foreign
deposits with Federal Reserve Banks. The principal offsetting changes
were an increase of $72 million in Money in circulation and a decrease of
$59 million in Reserve Bank credit.
The decrease of $59 million in Reserve Bank credit resulted from
a decrease of $247 million in Loans, discounts and advances and an increase
of $189 million in Float.
