CONDITION OF FEDERAL RESERVE BAMS The d a i l y average volume of Federal reserve "bank c r e d i t outstanding d u r i n g t h e week ending May 4, a s r e p o r t e d "by the Federal reserve banks, was ^ 0 0 0 , an i n c r e a s e of $83, COO, 000 compared with the preceding week and of $870,000,000 compared with the corresponding week in 1931. On May 4, t o t a l reserve "bank c r e d i t amounted to $1,859,000,000, an i n c r e a s e of $74,000,000 f o r t h e week. Tnis increase corresponds with i n c r e a s e s of $50,000,000 i n money in c i r c u l a t i o n , $33,000,000 in member bank reserve balances and $4,000 ^OQO in unexpended c a p i t a l funds, noma ember d e p o s i t s , e t c , , and a decreas e of $23,000,000 in monetary -old stock, o f f s e t in p a r t by an i n c r e a s e of $35,000,000 in Treasury currency, a d j u s t e d .
