A net of $28 million of deficit reserves were eligible to be carried
forward from the week ended May 28, into the week ending June 4.
On June 4, 1980, marketable U.S. Government securities held in
custody by the Federal Reserve Banks for foreign official and
international accounts were $76,712 million, an increase of $1,835 million
for the week.

Net of $2,252 million, daily average, matched sale-purchase transactions
outstanding during the latest statement week of which $2,152 million was
with foreign official and international accounts. Includes securities
loaned — fully secured by U.S. Government securities.
Net of $2,906 million matched sale-purchase transactions outstanding at the
end of the latest statement week, of which $2,208 million was with foreign
official and international accounts. Includes $99 million securities
loaned — fully secured by U.S. Government securities.
Includes reserves of Member Banks, Edge Act Corporations and U.S. Agencies
and Branches of Foreign Banks.
Adjusted to include $207 million waivers of penalties for reserve
deficiencies in accordance with Board policy effective November 19, 1975.
Includes special deposits under the credit restraint program of $485 million,
daily average, held by Money Market Mutual Funds and other financial
intermediaries; $35 million, daily average, held by nonmember banks
against managed liabilities; $83 million, daily average held in
conjunction with Covered Consumer Credit reports.
