CONDITION OF FEDERAL RESERVE BANKS The consolidated statement o f condition o f the Federal r e s e r v e banks on June 10, made p u b l i c by the Federal Reserve Board, shows an increase of $4,800,000 i n holdings o f discounted b i l l s and of $5,700,000 i n Government s e c u r i t i e s , and a decline of $10,000,000 i n holdings o f acceptances purchased i n the open market. Federal reserve note c i r c u l a t i o n declined $15,000,000 while cash r e s e r v e s went up $7,700,000 and non-reserve cash $6,400,000. An increase o f $19,200,000 i n holdings o f discounted b i l l s i s reported by the New York reserve bank, o f $4,000,000 by Chicago, and o f $2,800,000 by San Francises* while the St. Louis bank reports a decrease o f $7,800,000, Boston of $7,600,000, Richmond o f $ 2 , 7 0 0 , 0 0 0 , and Atlanta o f $2,400,000. Acceptance h o l d i n g s f e l l o f f $4,500,000 a t the Federal reserve bank o f Chicago, $3,000,000 at Boston, and $2,400,000 at Kansas C i t y , while the Atlanta bank reports an i n c r e a s e f o r the week o f $3,400,000. The System's holdings o f Treasury n o t e s went up $5,800,000 and o f Treasury c e r t i f i c a t e s $300,000, while h o l d i n g s o f U. S. bonds declined $400,000. The p r i n c i p a l changes i # Inderal reserve note c i r c u l a t i o n during the week comprise an increase o f $3,900,000 reported by the Cleveland bank, and decreases o f $7,700,000 and $ 7 , 0 0 0 , 0 0 0 , r e s p e c t i v e l y , by Boston and New York.
