Additions t o ’’member bank reserves arose from decreases o f S19U,000,000 in Treasury deposits with Federal Reserve Banks, $53/000,000 in ncnmember deposits and other Federal Reserve accounts, $1*8,000,000 in money in c ir c u la tio n , and $2,000,000 in Treasury cash, o f f s e t in part by decreases o f ^176,000,000 in h'Q.s-rve. Bank c r e d it and $21,000,000’ in gold stock. Excess reserves o f member banks on January 17 were estimated to be approxim ately $1,300,000,000.
