CONDITION OF FEDERAL RESERVE BAITKS The daily average volume of Federal reserve bank c r e d i t outstanding during the week ending February 15, as reported by the Federal reserve banks, was $ 2 , 0 9 ^ , 0 0 0 , 0 0 0 , an increase of $30,000,000 compared with the preceding week and of , 0 0 0 , 0 0 0 compared with the corresponding week in 1932# On February 15 t o t a l reserve bank c r e d i t amounted to $ 2 , 1 3 6 , 0 0 0 , 0 0 0 , an i n crease of $51,000,000 for the week. This increase corresponds with increases of $1^9,000,000 in money in c i r c u l a t i o n and $17,000,000 in unexpended c a p i t a l funds, nonmember deposits, e t c . , and decreases of $2^,000,000 in monetary gold stock and $^5,000,000 in Treasury currency, adjusted, o f f s e t in p a r t by a decrease of $123,000,000 in member bank reserve balances. Holdings of discounted b i l l s increased $ 1 6 , 0 0 0 , 0 0 0 at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, $ 6 , 0 0 0 , 0 0 0 a t San Francisco, $ 4 , 0 0 0 , 0 0 0 at New York and $33,000,000 at a l l Federal reserve banks. The System's holdings of b i l l s bought in open market and of United States bonds show no change for the week, while holdings of United States Treasury notes increased $ 3 9 , 0 0 ; , 0 0 0 and those of Treasury c e r t i f i c a t e s and b i l l s decreased $ 1 4 , 3 0 0 , 0 0 0 .
