CONDITION OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANKS
Member Bank Reserves and Related Items
During the week ended December 26, Member Bank reserves decreased
$590 million. The principal changes reducing reserves were increases of
$283 million in Treasury deposits with Federal Reserve Banks, $140 million in Money
in circulation, $91 million in Foreign deposits with Federal Reserve Banks, and
$13 million in Other deposits with Federal Reserve Banks, and a decrease of
$169 million in Reserve Bank credit. The principal offsetting changes were an
increase of $60 million in Gold stock, and a decrease of $50 million in Treasury
cash holdings.
The decrease of $169 million in Reserve
