Subcommittee on Commerce, Consumer & Monetary
Affairs of the House Committee on Government
Operations concerning the basic approach
toward banking and bank holding company
legislation and regulation, June 11, 1986.
Federal Reserve Board adopted amendments to
its Regulation J, Check Collection and
Transfers of Funds, concerning the reduction
and reallocation of check float and the
collection of foreign checks as well as some
technical changes, effective January 1, 1987,
and in addition, modified its automated
clearing house (ACH) procedures, effective
April 1, 1987.
A standard holiday schedule
for Reserve Banks was adopted effective
January 1, 1987.
